The Role:

We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Director of Demand Generation to lead the growth of GitKraken’s customer base through robust, multi-channel marketing campaigns. In this role, you will create a comprehensive demand generation strategy that spans paid and organic channels, with a focus on measurable performance and continuous optimization. You will be responsible for planning experiments, presenting key findings, and identifying opportunities for scaling successful initiatives.


The Director of Demand Generation will play a critical role in driving growth for GitKraken’s product-led engine. You will develop and execute strategies to generate leads, nurture prospects, and optimize conversion across the entire customer acquisition funnel.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and own a comprehensive demand generation strategy aligned with company OKRs and revenue targets.
  • Manage a significant ad spend budget.
  • Execute short- and long-term multi-channel campaigns to drive product downloads, trials, and purchases.
  • Present campaign results, insights, and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead weekly demand meetings to review key performance indicators (KPIs), identify performance gaps, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze the full conversion funnel (Ad Click → Website Visitor → Download/Install → Sign Up/Trial Start → New Subscription) and identify the largest performance gaps.
  • Lead the development and implementation of web analytics, event tracking, and attribution models to accurately measure campaign performance and ROI.
  • Plan and prioritize initiatives using the RICE framework (Reach, Impact, Confidence, Effort), ensuring that the most impactful experiments are executed first.
  • Drive technical efforts to build a robust data and reporting infrastructure to enable high-velocity testing and optimization.
  • Collaborate with content and web teams to enhance website visibility and user engagement through SEO and content marketing.
  • Build and optimize email automation workflows in HubSpot. 


What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in creating and executing demand generation strategies that significantly drive awareness, pipeline growth, and revenue.
  • Expertise in managing a significant advertising budget diversified across search, social, video, and display advertising.
  • Deep technical understanding of web analytics, attribution models, and data infrastructure to support performance tracking.
  • Proficiency in using data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics 4) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau) to derive actionable insights and inform strategic decisions.
  • A playbook for utilizing AI to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with technical stakeholders to implement solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to synthesize information into concise, actionable insights.
  • Proven track record in managing acquisition strategy, forecasting, budgeting, and campaign analysis.
  • Partner marketing and account-based marketing experience.
  • A history of marketing to a highly technical developer audience.

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in account management roles with a proven track record of success
  • Experience selling to developer audiences, with strong knowledge on how they work and their technology stack 
  • Familiarity with dev tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Microsoft’s Azure DevOps or Visual Studio, Docker, Jenkins, etc.

The Role:

What you'll do:

  • Work closely with our CPO and our CTO (and GitLens founder) to take end-to-end responsibility for our IDE extension, GitLens
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and other stakeholders to prioritize features and offerings based on strategic objectives, technical feasibility, and user impact
  • Create inputs our engineering team uses to build feature-functionality, including stories, specs, wireframes, and UX flows

    What You’ll Do:

    • Lead the process of driving business performance management, financial and operational planning, and forecasting 
    • Partner with leadership to define, operationalize and execute financial and KPI goals aligned with business strategies
    • Lead the annual financial planning and multi-year strategic planning processes

    • Own, refine, and implement financial systems and tools to track the company’s KPIs, and performance and provide reporting to enhance operational insights
    • Create KPI dashboards and reports to provide analytics and transparency across the organization
    • Interpret the business, and suggest and revise ongoing metrics that support the business value model 
    • Support the finance department with ongoing analysis and forecasting for individual products and the overall company
    • Prepare materials for board meetings, investor updates, all-hands presentations, and other ad hoc reporting


    What You’ll Bring:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree
    • Experience in FP&A and accounting in a private-equity backed SaaS environment or Investment Bank focused on SaaS or technology
    • Proven experience building long-term financial models and ability to create & maintain a three-statement financial model
    • Proficient financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills with experience in financial reporting and financial statement review and analysis
    • Advanced Excel skills and experience utilizing BI tools
    • Ability to provide context for data for non-finance people
    • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple projects and a willingness to learn
