The role is a Senior Software Engineer to enhance and maintain the ScriptRunner Cloud platform, a hands-on position shaping technology used by thousands of teams, in a collaborative, agile environment that delivers improvements through CI/CD and contributes to technical direction and engineering practices to keep the platform robust and future-ready. You’ll design and evolve the platform by setting up build pipelines, selecting web/server technologies, designing hosting architectures, and organizing repositories for scale and clarity. You’ll ship continuously by creating automated build and deployment plans, contributing to CI/CD best practices, and pair programming or code reviewing in an Agile workflow. You’ll build the right solutions by researching and documenting approaches within Atlassian Connect and Forge constraints, designing services and architectures to meet customer needs at scale, and going serverless where it fits using Terraform, AWS SAM, or CDK. You’ll keep it reliable by running, monitoring, debugging services, configuring alerts, analyzing logs/metrics, evaluating systems for operational reliability, migrating high-traffic systems with zero downtime, and owning on-call/incident response, post-incident learnings, and platform improvements.
