Refined is hiring a Data Engineer to build and evolve its analytics data platform, ensure data quality and self-serve analytics, and bridge business analytics with data engineering across Customer Success, Marketing, and Product. The role involves designing core business data models (especially dimensional models), translating business questions into metrics and data products, and implementing testing, documentation, and CI/CD to keep data trustworthy and reusable. Requirements include 2–3 years of SQL experience (dbt or similar), 1–2 years of data modeling (dimensional), 1–2 years of Python, and strong communication; nice-to-haves include coaching, familiarity with GCP/BigQuery/dlt/Looker, and infrastructure-as-code with Pulumi. Success is defined by onboarding stakeholders and the platform within 3 months, delivering or improving core models and practices within 6 months, and becoming a trusted owner of Refined’s analytics data platform within 12 months to drive data-informed decisions.
