The role is a Senior Software Engineer responsible for enhancing and maintaining the platform powering ScriptRunner Cloud, with hands-on work that supports thousands of teams worldwide. You’ll work in a collaborative, agile environment, continuously delivering improvements via CI/CD pipelines, tackling complex challenges, and designing scalable, high-performing solutions. As a senior member, you’ll have a voice in technical direction, engineering practices, and process improvements to keep the platform robust, reliable, and future-ready. Your responsibilities include designing and evolving the platform—setting up build pipelines, selecting web/server technologies, designing hosting architectures, and organizing repositories for scale—while shipping continuously with automated build/deploy and code reviews in an Agile workflow; you’ll also research and document approaches within Atlassian Connect and Forge constraints and design services and architectures to meet customer needs at scale. You’ll go serverless where appropriate (Terraform, AWS SAM, or CDK), ensure reliability through monitoring, alerts, and log/metric analysis, perform zero-downtime migrations, and own on-call responsibilities, incident response, and post-incident improvements.
