They’re seeking a Software Development Manager to provide direct leadership for one or two engineering teams, ideal for a former individual contributor transitioning to people management, responsible for team performance, delivery, morale, and high-quality outcomes aligned with product and business priorities. Responsibilities include leading teams of engineers and QA, monitoring productivity and code quality in an AI-augmented development environment, owning delivery processes, planning objectives, coordinating with stakeholders, refining workflows, tracking capacity, conducting 1:1s, driving recruiting, evaluating performance, defining career paths, mentoring, resolving conflicts, and ensuring progress visibility. Required experience typically includes 8+ years in software development (or related roles), 2+ years of people management, a bachelor’s degree in CS or a related field (or equivalent), and experience with AI coding agents, Agile methodologies, and strong leadership and collaboration skills.
