The Senior Professional Services Technical Architect role in Japan is a technical leadership position responsible for end-to-end architecture across projects, from discovery and scoping to detailed design, delivery, and validation, ensuring solutions align with customer goals and GitLab best practices. You’ll deliver high-level designs for complex deployments, lead large migrations using tools like Congregate, design and deploy environments with the GitLab Environment Toolkit, Terraform, and Ansible, and provide DevSecOps and AI-assisted development guidance to drive adoption. You’ll lead cross-functional delivery teams, create and maintain technical collateral, run discovery and solution design sessions, vet partner consultants and new hires for technical depth, and stay current on GitLab releases, with qualifications including extensive experience in complex customer-facing engagements, scalable DevOps/DevSecOps architectures across on-prem and cloud, and hands-on IaC tooling.
