The position is a remote Engineering Team Lead role with occasional quarterly travel to Toronto, aimed at shaping engineering culture and partnering with the Engineering Manager and product teams on ScriptRunner for Confluence Cloud. You will lead a team practicing continuous delivery, mentor engineers, grow the team using the development framework, and value autonomy, mastery, practice, doing the right thing, and paying down technical debt. As the most senior engineer, you'll facilitate solution design, build on team knowledge, and collaborate with other engineering teams for input. The leadership responsibilities include providing a platform for developers, assisting with priority setting, delivering updates to stakeholders, and ensuring the team has the right tools, technology, and freedom to deliver and innovate, while following agile processes. In people management and engineering, you'll hire/onboard, mentor, set objectives and development plans, drive collaboration, align with product and business priorities, design, write and test solutions, perform code peer reviews, respond to product incidents, and assist with support escalations.
